Hi Raju,
This is quite annoying for those of us with smaller SSD hard drives and older email accounts with large (10-50 GB) attachment repositories. Is there another way to configure Outlook 2013 either to only download new e-mails or inhibit attachment downloads from IMAP accounts?
The Windows 'Mail App' has this feature, however, it is not a very robust E-mail / calendar solution.

Welcome to Microsoft Community and thank you for posting your query.
Since the IMAP account is a mirror image of the webserver there is no option to download only the new emails which you receive.
You can check the option to only download the header of the email which would stop downloading the attachment from the email.
You may follow the steps to set Outlook to download headers only.
Open Outlook, click on Send/Receive tab, Send/Receive Groups, Define Send/Receive Groups, click on Edit, check the radio button ‘Download headers only’ click OK.
